Crunch Time!

HI MY DEAREST BLOG,

LOOK WHO'S BACKK!! Aww its been a while since I last blogged (as usual). Sort of stopped blogging after realising that people I dont want to be reading my blog, are actually reading my blog. Tempting for me to lock all my entries that are meant for friends only to read, but there are friends out there who are non-lj users also, so I shall not do that.

Who gives a damn about blog stalkers who have nothing to do. -.- Sigh cant believe I stopped blogging for so many weeks; blog entries are meant to keep track and update your friends about your wonderful life.

So, how has life been?

............................................
*crickets chirping in the background*

- a while later -

*even more crickets chirping in the background*

Hahah yeah thats because everyone is busy preparing for exams now. How more exciting could our lives be as compared to that of crickets chirping? CHEERS. :)

TO ALL NTU BUDDIES WITH THEIR FIRST PAPER TODAY:

JIAYOU!JIAYOU!JIAYOU!JIAYOU!

YOU GUYS CAN DO IT BECAUSE YOU ALL HAVE MY SUPPORT! (L)

I can smell freedom in a few weeks time, and then its partyy tiiimmmeeee! Miss everyone so much. For the time being, mug hard ok!

We will survive. :)

MAF

MAF.

The single day every year when hc turns into the hottest night spot in the whole of singapore. HC MAF FTW!~ In short, HC FTW!! <33

Mann I really love this school spirit; hc and ny, really the two schools with the best traditions around. I dont give a shit that people might think of us as cheena, celebrating what mid-autumn festival. Because seriously, I see myself coming back to hc even 30 years down the road (hopefully!) together with friends and dearest 33rd! The crowd last night was humongous! And it got so warm I could barely breathe. Lol but its really really really heartwarming to return to hc and meet up with all those friends once again. Who says mass dance is square? Just check out people of all ages jumping and singing songs and dancing together in the quadrangle. Really a heartwarming scene, and the sense of belonging to the school is just so strong that I felt that I have never actually left hc at all.

Hahah hope there will be vids of this year's maf uploaded on youtube soon or smth, but here's just a glimpse into hc's very own maf. This year's decorations were really awesome though! They had huge rectangle lanterns lining the whole area above the quadrangle! This video is maf in 2007. Whoots the chorus is always damn high for this song lol. Credits to zzzzzlave from youtube! :)

MAF 2007, song session - dang ni gu dan

<lj-embed id="5" />

Rocks ttm, this school. Wished the two years in hc had been longer, because I doubt I will ever experience such a strong sense of school spirit ever again. Thank God for placing me in the right place, this school has really brought me an awesome bunch of friends and happiness that I will never forget. Thats why I decided that I should definitely blog about this before I return to my life in university. Sobs. T.T

Pity that not all of 33rd oac could return though! And some are overseas already. :( Sigh but still, the oac bench will always be there when we return. HC OAC FTW!~ I miss those good old days lol. Hahahahah yltc especially. I love being tekaned and I love tekaning too lmao. But seriously, even though those days were times when we went through shit, they were the most memorable times in the two years of oac, because we went through all that shit together. The key word, together. Like koping buah duku and pomelo at the reading room with marho and lips last night too. Hahahah damn auntie can anot. Were actually trying to grab some free mooncake, but we ended up targeting the pomelo on the table. Peeled off half of it and ran away LOL.

Sigh sometimes life can get a bit lonely huh. Especially when old friends do not go on to uni with you, and you are the only one in your family staying up late to mug. I really miss everyone larh. Its only with old friends when you can truly be yourself, no matter how nice your new friends can be.

[Just for Laughs] 9 Words Women Use

Hahahahah omg this is so accurate I use ALL 9 words to the exact same meaning! At least most of the time to guys who get on my nerves and there's simply no point in arguing further lol. Check them out:

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome'. that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F--- YOU!

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3.

* Send this to the men you know, to warn them about arguments they can avoid if they remember the terminology.

* Send this to all the women you know to give them a good laugh, cause they know it's true!!!

Too fast too furious

Omg I have time to blog!

These few weeks have been absolutely crazy. Bizad club! But at least all our efforts have paid off and Im now part of the bizad mc! I have finally put in some effort to step up and at least do something in life rather than being so laidback all the time. Director of alumni relations. Still cant believe I actually got in. :) Was kinda intimidated at first because bizad club manages like the entire biz school, and Ive never joined anything on such a big scale before, but who's scared man. Even though it has only been a few weeks, I have really gained confidence in making decisions and doing things that I would never have dared to do in the past. And even though I still feel like a little girl at times, Im gonna act like an adult. Bought my very own blazer! And first board meeting with the bsa (business school alumni association) later. No idea whats gonna happen, but free dinner so yeah. Woohoo and dear chong wee has accepted my invitation to be my vice!

SHAG. Especially these few weeks - camp calibre, campaigning, bazaar, internal elections (which ended at 3am last friday, and resumed on sat for the entire day) So, Ive been spending money on cab fares. The toll of travelling is really getting to me. Wish I applied for kent ridge hall, but that would probably put another big slab of commitment on my plate when I already have enough for self satisfaction. Hah but I still love staying at home because I get to see my family. <3 Best source of support. Even nigel is such a nice room mate, not complaining even when I keep the lights on through the night doing work. Hah and all I have to do now is just say "boyboy, hug hug!" and he will give me a bear hug. :) Aww. One of the best motivations for me to study hard and make my family proud of me.

Whoa but who the idiot said that university life is the most slack. T.T I mean, its real fun, but definitely not slack lol. Got smth on every single day, and gonna get busy again when I start recruiting committee members. Need a gen sec, fin sec, and um how about a maid, chauffeur, tutor and cook? Yeah man. Talk about abusing of authority. Hope I get to meet some really rich young masters in the bsa youth chapter. BUT NO Im not gonna let business change me into a super money minded person, although its already instilling in me some characteristics of the business world. Sometimes I feel that I have become cold and different from the person that I used to be.

SO in order to prevent myself from changing into a cold hearted business woman, I will retain my old self for as much as time allows me to. Take a step back from work, chill out and reflect. So sad andrea and yuhui have both flown off. And also pretty sad that there arent many old friends in nus biz school. Sigh at least there are new friends for support - alum group, campus crusade dg, vcf dg. Little little factors and people that prevent me from transforming into an ice queen. Hahah and maybe one of the factors why I feel different from time to time is that Ive been too busy to do stuff like surfing for BoA and entertainment news. :( Omg Im ignoring my blog and subbing squad like siao. Still got a translation assignment on my plate, which I have been sitting on for weeks. Plus no time to exercise or read newspapers. What happened to my all-rounded lifestyle man. Gah although the one thousand and one flights of stairs up the school every morning is good enough exercise. Probably excel in vertical marathon after 1 year of climbing all those stairs every morning.

Need some sleep. BUT for some reason, I love the feeling of being busy. :) Probably because it indicates that Im doing something about my life.

Hang in there

WHY do some guys always think they know me so well when they actually dont. WHY. Some things really get on my nerves.

But anyway, I finally have some time to blog today! :) Today was the earliest I reached home this week so far, which was at like 9 plus. ^^ Hah this whole week has been damn crazy (though not the worst I have ever experienced), especially after camp callibre when we all had impromptu assignments to set up a booth for a 3 day bazaar and do tons of stuff all at one go, like photoshoot, design posters, flyers, stickers, campaign, meet proposal deadlines, get stock for booth and all the nitty gritty campaigning stuff all over this period of 48 hours since camp ended. So of course, Ive been sleeping an average of 3-4 hours per day, partly thanks to the loooooong travelling time. And OF COURSE, no time to do tutorials at all. Cant believe it, this is only the third week! Doesnt even feel like it. T.T Hahah but its also because Im making myself busy, like no one asked me to sign up for bizad club right. Oh well, and even though its like damn hard to get in, I dont regret because despite the tiredness and unwillingness to wake up so early in the morning, there are new friends made, and the nice moments when a group goes through thick and thin together. At least this will all be over soon, so that I can catch up on my school work. Doesnt sound really nice to start lagging on the first week tutorials start right. Luckily I have no more tutorials for this week lol. Phew. No more homework!

Gonna have external dialogue tmr night too. Hope no one turns up to listen hahah.

But of course apart from bizad club, I have started campus crusade too! Had first dg today, and I love my dg!! Really, I so know the importance of joining a christian fellowship group in university now, because its really where you find the best source of joy, comfort and strength. Of course, thats because the source of joy comes right from the spirit of God. But seriously, I would have continued my streak of bad mood if not for the 2 hour break that I spent with my dg today. Really uplifting, so I became back to normal after that. ^^ Hahah stupid me always becomes moody whenever Im forced to wake up early with insufficient sleep. Forgive me lol.

So yeah, everything will end soon (either that or Im gonna get drowned by the incoming projects), and Im really looking forward to it! Doesnt really matter if I get into the mc now, I just want my social and family life back. :) TOO FAST TOO FURIOUS.

HANG IN THERE, EVERYONE! WE CAN CONQUER UNIVERSITY.

SOC

Hahahah slacking at SOC now! Whoots I love the air con here, and the internet connection is damn fast! School of computing indeed. Only got lecture from 12 to 2 later since tutorials havent started, but came early to school because I bought a textbook from a snr. Hahahah damn exciting, buying textbooks online. Its really like the fastest get the cheapest bargains so I was totally fastest fingers first when I reached home last night lol. DAMN CHEAP. Aha only left 1 textbook to get, but Im probably gonna die lugging all my stuff today since I will have like additional 3 textbooks plus my laptop. And Im still gonna stay until 6 for the bizad club info session. T.T Life has been pretty slow nowadays..hahah but at least its like long bonding sessions for our alum group since we go everywhere together lol. Really really loooong lunch breaks and school tours hahah.

Was playing pet society just now. Kinda embarrassing with people walking past me, but I dont give a damn.
FRIDAY!~

YESS ITS FINALLY FRIDAY!! Now I can truly appreciate the TGIF thing. Hahah although school has started for only 3 days, Ive been feeling damn sleepy these few days, probably because Ive been reaching home damn late. The sun was still up today when I left the school campus! Ate lunch with sher and yuhui in the arts canteen. Food damn cheap!! Grr Im not gonna eat at the biz canteen ever unless all the other canteens closed down and Im left with no choice hahah. And..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YUHUI DEAR!~

Oac hasnt been keeping up with our birthday celebrations. >.<

Oh well, Im so gonna chill out for the rest of tonight. Poor nigel still has a bump on the back of his head. He got it last night when he fell down running about in the house. Probably deserved it, but still very poor thing because he was crying so bad. Hahah and he was trying in vain to look at the bump at the back of his head through the mirror. -.-"

Fast and Furious

Thats my tagline for my university life. At least thats what Im gonna make it to be. FAST AND FURIOUS. Ytd's first session of career planning and management was really inspiring. Ignited the drive in me hahah. Gonna be more active in university and not miss out the chances like I did in jc just because I was afraid of this and that, or unwilling to commit. At least I should give some things a try.

Like bizad exco (even though its like damn hard for year 1s to get elected). Damn I really hate campaigning and stuff, but its time for smth new. Cant always be so laidback and join oac forever. And planning to join another truckload of ccas too. Hahah feels good to fill up my schedule since there are quite a lot of gaps in my current timetable. Probably because school hasnt kicked off proper yet so we havent experienced the wrath of projects and assignments.

But one thing's for sure: I HATE THE TRAVELLING. Mannn I so regret not applying for hostel now. The 1 hour journey to school and another back home KILLS MY APPETITE. And it doesnt really help that I have a short attention span and a high level of impatience. Sometimes I really feel that my butt (if I even manage to get a seat) and my feet (most of the time) are gonna rot just being in the train. Plus nel is like underground so I cant tune into the radio! I have listened to the same old songs again and again that Im getting kinda bored. Sigh. And I wonder how some people can even have the dignity to sit down when there are old people around too. Especially strong and healthy men. Really really really have the urge to go and bash them up (I wonder why Im so inclined to violence nowadays) because they are so sickening. Singaporean guys needa know some social ettiquette. Ok not only guys, but young people in general. I always give up my seat alright! And apparently that doesnt seem to incite a tinge of guilt in those freakin potatoes on the mrt seats. Grrr. Oh well, I think I just hate mrts in general now. CANT THEY GO A BIT FASTER. T.T

Sigh, but apart from the travelling, everything at school has been fun so far! Nice, bonded alum group, nice lecturers, and this is the best today - NICE FOOD from engine canteen!! Really, the food there ROCKS. Unlike the biz canteen. :(( We are gonna stop by every canteen in nus to try out all the food, but I think we have already got a winner here. Hated the noodles which I bought from biz canteen ytd. Urgh.

Hahah I know this is no big deal, but mann Im still happy because there's no school on tuesday!! Was actually all prepared to go for the first mno lecture this tuesday, but whoots no mno lecture till next week! Plus tutorials only start like next week or next next week so yeah mann!~ Damn slackk. Better grab this time to settle my cca.

Soo first day on school shall be on wednesday, the career workshop thing. And its report in biz attire so I dont have to fret about what to wear. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE!! <33

Orientation Week!~

Grr had a fallout with fb just now because I couldnt post my comment no matter how many times I tried lol. At least its back to normal now. Been really impatient nowadays. Hahah so please dont block my way when Im in a rush, because I will probably be cursing you behind your back lol. Shall try to be more patient. Patienceee.

Whoots anw oweek was good! Not as fun or exciting as other camps, but it was really good in a way that it was a good bonding session for our alum group, i.e classmates! The stay-up-all-nights were the best times hahah. Although it resulted in me being in hibernation mode during briefings the next day. Nonetheless, AUSTIN (POWERS) YI CHI BANG, blahblahblahblah (dunno how to type in hokkien) WAH SEH!!~ Hahah damn, I probably learnt quite a few dialect phrases from all these camp cheers. Wah seh is like one of my habits now. T.T Nono I must retain my dignified presence, kick that new habit. Sighh and I lost my voice AGAIN. How many times will that be this holidays! :( And there's like choir tmr? Im soo dead. Still needa make a speech for ministry recruitment on sun. Everyone probably wont be able to believe Im a sop lol. Husky man voice. And I got my purple thighs back, thanks to jia qi and ying ying. Purple dots i.e. burst blood vessels from the mrt game. Hahah but I personally like that game bc of the whacking. ^^ You dont get a chance to whack pple w/o feeling guilty that often you know. And I never give face to guys. Also went for the masquerade ball in the end too. After all that talk about refusing to go for oweek bc of that ball. Plus I didnt even pay so I just crashed everything. I wonder why I dont really feel guilty hahah. Heyy at least I didnt take the goody bag alright.

Sentosa on the last day was pretty fun too (jeremy drove some of us there! ^^), although I was trying to keep awake at the beginning due to sleep deprivation. Jumping into the sea did the trick. Hahah and I personally love dunking bc it wakes me up. But not much dunking this time round. And it was the first time that I sat on a guy's shoulders ever since I was 4 and puny. On my dad's shoulders. Omg damn unglamm cannn. Idk why I was so idiotic to jump at the chance of being captain during water captain's ball. Thought only had to be piggybacked by a guy and can slack. But I didnt hear properly (probably due to sleep deprivation again). On a guy's shoulders is like a total different thing? Was grabbing the hands of two unknown guys just to get up and I fell off after getting up the first time (hope no one heard my scream). Then the rest of the time I was grabbing thanu's head and trying my best not to fall off again. Hahah but luckily thanu is pretty fit. Really gives me the feeling of a horse lol. And tug-of-war was da best mann! The best way to show some angst w/o being self conscious so I was there roaring and pulling at the same time. Definitely the most fun hahah. Was pretty put off after I heard a guy from the other group saying that they might win bc our group had more girls. LOOKING DOWN ON GIRLS AGAIN. So I was there, with my sleeves all rolled up to show off my biceps (hahah actually to prevent myself from getting a tanline larh) and pulling as hard as I would be pulling off all his hair. And we won in the end, so there SUCKER.

And Im finally looking forward to the start of school with such a nice class! Hahah although there are 23 girls and 7 guys, but for once, Im not the only manly girl around. Kai li, my fellow guides-odac comrade, is even more man than me LOL. One of the rare times that Im not THE MAN within a group of girls, but it feels a bit weird too hahah. And there is like a sneakers gang among the girls so I shall not bother so much about trying to find a feminine pair of shoes that is within my personal style. ^^ Shi han was also telling us about how fun accountancy in NUS is. NO BIDDING EVER. Phew. Except for 2 gems and 1 ss mods, which is uncompetitive at all since its just like sabbaticals lol. NUS really planned everything out for our fac. Hahah I rather graduate with thousands of unused bid points than having to go through the bidding stress. And tutorials only start on week 3 so there will still be time for slacking. Like uh, going to school for a single lecture per day or smth. Luckily I bought mrt concession. Hahah been advocating the idea of an alum group bus since we all stay in the same area. NEL GANG. <33

Reckless Driving

Badbadbadbadbad..almost had an accident today. Omg I shall really really stop being so complacent on the road and driving too fast. Mann it cost me to get shouted at by my dad. And trust me, getting shouted at by my dad is no joking matter. Its one of the rare things that will make me cry apart from quarelling with my mum lol. Yeah I was in bad shape today. Went too far out doing a u-turn so I almost hit some stupid cyclist going against the traffic after I turned. Too wide a turning. My bad!! :( Havent done a u-turn for quite a while already. The cyclist totally fell off his bike and my dad was yelling at me to brake. I was still turning because I thought there was space for that idiotic cyclist. Siigh if I was alone, I might have just driven over that guy and caused my license to be revoked. Argh I hope no one took down the car plate number because everyone at the traffic light was staring at us. DAMN YOU PEOPLE, SO WHAT IF I AM A P-PLATE, YOUNG AND A GIRL HUH?!! YOU THINK YOU GUYS ARE SO GOOD AT DRIVING HUH?? HUHHUHHUH?!!

Phew that was some angst let out finally hahahah. But really, all guys think they are sooooo great at driving. I, a young girl, shall prove these horn-sounding jerks wrong. Hahah but come to think of it, I havent tried out parallel parking ever since I got my license. Probably should improve my normal parking first. Still have the habit of parking out of lots because there are no more poles to help me mark out the parking lot. Ack. But nonetheless, better safe than sorry. Drive safely, stupid.

Things I have to say

Whoots another successful oac girls outing today! Sushi buffet was good. ^^ Ate loads of my favourite raw fish. Hahah and for once, we stayed out quite late because I just reached home. Niice I really love late nights out now, especially since we probably wont have the chance to do so once school starts. Sigh. Dont feel like studying. Oh but anyway, I finally finally finally got the aviator shades that Ive been wanting to get since ages! Awesomee. But I probably wont wear it out often once school starts (not again!). Have barely worn my sports shades out ever since I bought it years ago. Still in tip top condition lol. And another thing that Ive been wanting to do since ages! That is get my second earhole! Yeeeaaahh man, its about time I got it. Hmm next I shall get another pair of earholes, one on each side. Dont get me wrong, this is not a sudden thought or what because this has been what I wanted since I was 15 or something - 3 earholes on the right and 2 on the left. DONT MESS WITH ME MAN. Ah but I still havent got a nice pencilcase. T.T Shall go bugis to shop tmr! :)

Hahahah and guess what? Im sharing a room with nigel!! Because he graduated from my parents' room, like finally. Hahah its really an interesting experience, I must say. You should just listen to how he talks to his beloved pooh bear before he sleeps. >.< He couldnt really sleep at first too (as usual), so I asked him to come over to my bed. Hahah I actually shared a bed with a guy man. But nigel is really damn cute. Sometimes when I thought he has fallen asleep, he would suddenly make some weird noises like a roaring noise, so I will realise that he is actually still awake. -.- That boy actually kept me awake for an entire hour because I was trying not to fall asleep before he did, in case he became lonely or smth. Hahah but at least he finally fell asleep after my continuous threats that I will throw pooh bear away if he still didnt go to sleep. Argh and he kept using his foot to fiddle with the BoA poster I hung beside my bed.

Thats some of the happy stuff that have been happening so far. And I QUIT MY JOB!! After working for like 3 hours per day over like 3 days hahah. I think I actually dreamt of doing telephone surveys last night. -.- Which is a sign that I should quit that job. School is starting on mon anyway, dont want any distractions because Im gonna MUG LIKE HELL. University is too impt to screw up. Stressstressstress. Oh well, but before school starts proper, Im still gonna have my fun!

Last thing that I have to blog about. If you are a guy, and I ignore you big time (highly because of your ulterior motives), its also highly possible that you overstepped some boundaries and crossed over some of my red tapes. The top 3:

#1 Respect my decision - when I say no, its means NO. And similarly, when I say not interested, it means NOT INTERESTED, so please dont try to change my mind, because my mind never changes once its fixed. Something I inherited from my mum, thats why I dont try to argue with her. Therefore, dont try so hard because it will only backfire biiiigggg time. Im not like usual girls, so I wont be moved by whatever shit tactics that guys can have up their sleeves. Plus I watch loads of dramas so dont think I know nothing (HAHA).

#2 Dont act like my bf when you are not my bf - because that privilege is ONLY meant for my real bf. Thank you very much. Therefore, carrying my bag or sending me home is big NO-NO. I highly treasure my privacy so I really dont like it when Im forced to be accompanied back home. Its even worse if its done with ulterior motives other than ensuring my safety. I like to walk home alone, alright? Already said that Im not like usual girls who dont dare walking through dark alleys. Even ghosts will think twice of scaring me. And I dont like anyone carrying my bag. Why? Because although I like gentlemen, I do not like to be treated like a handicapped piece of shit, especially when my bag is like uh, light? Plus my bag is my personal fashion statement so taking it away of course is >:(.

#3 Dont take advantage of my gullibility - jokes are fine, but please dont be too lame. And consistent "lying" and making fun of my gullibilty gets really sickening after a while. Sorry, but I probably just have a very bad sense of humour. The worst thing is thinking that I would actually believe everything? I know Im like super gullible, but Im not plain dumb so never ever try to undermine my intelligence.

Yeah Im really sorry if I misled or encouraged anyone unknowingly, because its in my nature to be as comfortable around some guys as when Im with girl friends (and also not show my displeasure so as not to hurt others' feelings). But really, being able to click well or go out with me doesnt mean anything at all (definitely not "Im the right one for you") because I really can be close to many guys even if they are not my bf. Friends. If this simple theory cant be understood, then sorry, that "friend" status will just be changed to "acquaintance".

Public Enemies

Went to watch public enemies today. Omgg the ending succcked!! Ok actually it cant be helped since its a true story, but how could dillinger die so easily like that!! -.- I was expecting at least some twist to the story, like maybe the police thought they killed him, but actually he had already escaped and robbed the train carrying all that money or smth. Oh well. Hahah the guys were like cursing when the show ended. And I was damn sianned out at the beginning because it was kinda boring. The whole thing is kinda boring actually, just about the police catching bank robbers. Or maybe its just because Im not cut out to watch such movies. I was pretty bored watching ocean's twelve in the movies that time too. Ah but johnny depp and christian bale saved the show because they looked good. Hahah that hairstyle really suits johnny depp lol. Guess this shall be the last movie I will watch before school starts.

And whoooots thank goodness I didnt pay for o week camp, because now I got the best deal ever: CRASHING!! Save 35 bucks, get to play with my alum group, and best of all, no need to dress up because I wont be able to go for that dumb masquerade ball! Whoots. ^^ Hahahah cant wait to have some fun, because the og is grouped according to alum group, and I love my alum group. <33 Lol 2009E is probably the most happening alum group in biz school now thanks to such an enthu group leader. Really glad that we all know one another even before school started. O week camp is gonna be a blast! Oh but Im not too sure about school after that lol. Heh Im still pretty lost about the bidding and all that. Shall go check that out later. Yayy but after all the talks today, I am really really happy that I chose nus. 3-4 years of enriching nus life, LET'S GO!~

Updates!~

Havent blogged for a while, been busy + lazy lol. This week has been pretty exciting. And life is getting busier since school is gonna start in a freakin few days countable by the number of fingers on ONE hand. >.< Urgh I already forgot how to study. Its a wonder I can still read actually. Hahah anyway,

Exciting thing #1 - I HAVE BEEN BAPTISED!! RACHEL FAITH GOH!~ Praise the Lord. :) Hahah the church staff called me Faith Goh while presenting the baptism cert to me lol. My new name. ^^ And mummy + rayna + ranice + nigel actually turned up to witness my baptism last sat! Thats the most touching part, thinking about it makes me feel really really touched. <33 Would have been the ultimate if my dad could have been present too. Whoa but anyway, baptism wasnt really what I imagined it to be. For one, I didnt imagine that my surname, which is G, would actually land me at a place of #108 out of the 120 plus candidates to be baptised that day. So of course nigel was already fidgety halfway through lol. Whoa but really, it was one of the times I felt like a real celebrity because EVERYONE in the sanctuary started taking photos of us when we posed for a group photo at the front of the stage, like flashflashflashflashflash. I was uh trying to give my best smile. Hahah and the baptism pool is damn cool! Really warm like a jacuzzi pool. Although I still think the ocean would have been cooler, like how my grandpa and aunts were baptised. :)

Exciting thing #2 - GOT MY LAPTOP!! On friday after registration. The white fujitsu lifebook. Its as chio as its new owner lol. No need to elaborate.

Exciting thing #3 - Successful alum group outing!! Yes I make such a good leader hahah. Ok but my group is really nice, and I know we are all gonna be great friends. Hahahah there's really nice and fun people in my group, thankfully! And it was really easy breaking the ice! Much easier than I thought. Didnt know I had such good public relations man. Total turnout: 12 out of 28, which is good because it was a lunch slot. Then we also went to watch ice age, which was FUN! Hahahah totally loved it! More than the first one. Didnt watch the second one. Hmm bet the 3D one would have rocked even more, but its not worth paying twice the amount.

Exciting thing #4 - Watched the haunting at connecticut today!! Mann two thumbs up! Havent watched a good horror show in a cinema for ages! Shioookkk. At first I was quite sianned because I thought it would be like those "oh this house is like, haunted." kinda shows, with banging doors, ghosts in the mirrors and usual *yawns* boring stuff, but it got pretty exciting after the first half. At least better than those stupid horror shows on tv. Of course, the surround sound effects contributed to the atmosphere. Wouldnt say it was scary though (its PG btw, poor kids), but there's some good twists and effects! Thats what contributes to a good horror show. The girls beside me were like covering their eyes throughout lol. GIRLS. Hahah ok larh, anyway, my point is its a movie worth watching. Would watch it over harry potter any day lol.

And last but not least,

Not-so-exciting thing #5 - I have started work. Short term, probably until school starts and maybe through o week (not planning to go for o week camp because of the dumb masquerade ball). Telephone survey. SHIT job, but I have become a fluent talker at that LOL. Because you should introduce everything in one entire breath before the person hangs up on you hahahah. But it has good pay, like 4 bucks per successful survey, so with an average of 3 successful surveys or more done per hour, you get 12 bucks or more. Of course, its not as easy as it sounds, seriously. Tiring. At least its only for a few hours after dinner so I dont have to keep hugging the telephone for the entire day. I think I would even hear ringing in my dreams if that was so lol.

Yeah so thats life, still looking around for a pencil case. Why doesnt singapore have nice pencil cases?! >:@

Thanks to gek theng, I have made the decision to allow "anonymous comments", meaning non-lj users to comment on my journal, but please leave your name behind as a form of politeness so that I will know that you are not mr. prankster or mr. stalker yeah? Thanks. :) Been having a mind to open the comments page for a while already since there are quite a few non-lj readers (both friends and unwelcomed ones) around. Hahah not that it would make much difference though. But seriously, if you are a guy with ulterior motives, i.e. by the surname of despo with some stalker-like genes in your blood, then please, I would appreciate if you would stop stalking my blog. All friends and even barely friends are welcome to read though! Im very open with my blog. :) Only stalkers. Screw off.

On a side note, Im much better now, thankfully! Its quite obvious since Im back to my online activities lol. Sorry to all those who msged me, because I long gave up replying already. I dont have the stamina to keep replying every day to the same msg - "are you feeling better now?". I might have just exploded in addition to the heat from the fever. Hahah so yeah, I did selective replies and hope you guys read this post to know that I havent died and start searching for my face in the orbituaries. Still having that stupid cough though, and Im waiting for the remaining of my melodic voice to come back to my voicebox. All in all, I still appreciate your concern. Thanks guys. <3

Barely breathing

The past 4 days has been literally, hell. Seriously, I thought I was gonna die. Ok I know no one dies so easily, but I really just felt like dying. Sorry to all those whose msgs and convos I ignored because I was either fighting to stay alive or just in an absolutely foul mood to feel like replying. Cant help it when Im feeling all burnt up and half dead. And it does get a bit annoying when the phone keeps buzzing and buzzing for me to reply. I mean, I thank everyone for their utmost concern from the very bottom of my heart, but its not really the best thing to do to give me time to rest. And the worst is to suggest a house visit. Would anyone in the right mind want people to visit them when they are in the most unglam state? -.-" Second worst is to call me on my phone. Why? BECAUSE I CANT TALK, SO STOP CALLING ME!!

Sorry, apparently Im still in a pretty foul mood. Sometimes I really feel like just smashing my phone when it keeps ringing and I dont wanna answer. Not the right time. I dont like talking on the phone, and when Im sick, I simply hate talking on the phone.

But really, its not the fever that is the worst part. Its the throat ulcer and cough. And when I mean cough, Im referring to the tb kind, just that Im coughing out phlegm. Used to get that quite often when I was really young and I really really dreaded it because I always took damn long to recover. At first I was wondering if it was h1n1, but my mum later deduced that it was because I was having throat ulcers that caused my fever. Thanks to the heat, dehydration and you tiao. Damn those deep fried sticks of dough lol. A lot of people from the tri-uni camp have fallen sick as well. But throat ulcers really really suck like hell. To understand the feeling, simply take a knife and slice it down your throat. Even the simplest thing like swallowing some saliva is enough to change my entire facial expression. I still havent completely recovered, just human enough to be able to get on the comp after lying in bed for 4 days straight. Thankfully, the worst is over, I hope. Fever subsided, more or less, ulcer not so painful, still having abit of stomach flu (it all comes in a package), only that stupid cough and all the phelgm is still bugging me.

Sigh and all the cooling stuff that Ive been forced to take these few days are still swirling around in my stomach. I didnt see the doc, so I was under home treatment lol. My dad said that I should fight the disease with my own immune system. Bleagghh I really felt like some tb patient, but thankfully my mum was always there. Mothers are still the best. They will never abandon you even in your dirtiest, most disgusting state. :)

Now I just hope I wont remain a mute forever. And damn all those internal heat, causing all the pimples. T.T

Bizioacctive!!~

BACK FROM CAMP!!

Whoo omg tri-uni biz camp was damn fun!! And I didnt know it was the first ever camp with all the 3 schools together! Really really cool, having nus, ntu and smu all together as one, and the mix was really even. Its at least 10 times more fun than hc orientation LOL (which is already like a modest estimation). Stupid nigel didnt even know I left for camp though, like WTH. Which explains his unexpectedly happy expression when I entered his room late last night. He thought I left to study in uni LOL. Like not coming back home again or smth. Poor boy probably missed me huh. Wonder why he couldnt just ask hahahah. XP

And the freakin goodie bag itself makes the camp totally damn worth the 40 bucks! Like one of the nicest adidas jerseys I have ever seen, with an adidas bottle, shoebag, vouchers, food and whatnot. Topped up with all the fun and new friends. Hahahah and one word of advice to all the girls out there, is to keep yourself available before entering uni because the market there is way better LOL. Or maybe its just that hc lacks good catches. Anyway, the camp was just damn fun larh, not forgetting that I went a notch tanner after the entire day at sentosa. Stupid jiaqing dunked me into the sea right at the end. Stupid bearbear hahahah. The bearbear who said I look like BoA during pre-camp. *totally flattered* HAHA but seriously, I was damn shocked for words because he didnt know that I was a BoA fan until I told him so after his comment. Crazy shit, maybe I really look like BoA HAHA.

And the dunking part. I should have suspected it when he said he would shoot me during our og's ssm in htht the last night. Plus standing near him made me totally vulnerable. Just him alone was enough to whisk me off to the ocean, followed by "any last words?" and into the sea I go. Wth I really felt like a garbage bag or smth, so easily carried off and thrown away like that! Lmao then the other girls were not spared either of course. BUT stupid jiaqing dunked me like 3 times OMG. I wonder why I even tried to push him into the ocean and ended up being pushed in again instead. Wth X 1000. That was an overestimation of my strength lol. Never fight with a bear. Especially a bear who keeps promoting nus voices to you just because you are in church choir. (Omg I hope he doesnt find this blog.)

Whoo but camp was fun, so Ima check out if there are any other camps I should go for. Jane (the girl who says she will marry me if she were a guy, and totally doesnt look as innocent as she appears to) is going for back to back camps, like this followed by the extremist and sports club camps. SIAOO. Like super shag can! Especially since we had to run so much and sleep so little this camp. Heck, and unglam photos are gonna start popping up on fb soon. Hahah but all fond memories larh. Im really thankful I went for this camp and got to know so many pple. Plus older guys are much more fun to hang out with. The guys in our batch are really boring to the max. Hahahah ok I should cut some slack for our batch guys since there are nice guys in our batch. :) Hah but then again, although these older guys are fun and more caring, they also dont give face to girls at times, especially during our whacking games, like ouch. The pinch and slap one. Stupid hong boon pinch like damn hard, but at least the fingermarks are disappearing now. He will pay if there are any scars. And pinching him was like pinching a rock so I doubt I got any revenge. -.-

Hahah ok now Ima catch up online and go find my pet on pet society HAHA. Its gonna be damn dirty since I havent gone on for 3 days. ^^

Test Drive!

OMG I cant believe mj is really dead. Like seriously! The news was so sudden that I thought it was fake! Cardiac arrest and poof, gone is the king of pop. Life is really unpredictable. >.<

Hahah but thats not the main point of my post. Our half complete oac girls outing ytd was pretty much a success (love our jumpshots) and I managed to get some tanning! Heh although I have to apply aloe to my slightly burnt arms and face. And I reached home pretty late last night, but guess what! My dad suggested me taking the car to bring us out for supper! My first ever test drive after I got my license! Whoo! Hahah damn funny can. In the car was my dad, mum and nigel, and my mum was like "nigel, fasten your seat belt NOW". Hahah but nigel is like my ardent fan lol, totally proud that I passed my driving test on my first try, and being the most enthu to sit in a car with me as the driver. Hahahah sometimes he can be really encouraging. His comments like "this is gonna be a bumpy ride", and egging me on like "drive at 100 like daddy!". Hahah but I guess I have gotten use to our auto car already. Really turned out to be just like driving a golf cart. I WANT A MANUAL CAR. Even nigel says he's gonna take manual next time because he wants to drive a racing car lol. Oh well, at least one good thing is that the car doesnt roll down slopes I guess. Steering wheel is much heavier than my instructors car. Hahah but I still needa practise my parking for a while more, because I havent had much practice without those lovely poles.

Now my dad is my new driving instructor, teaching me the different car functions, rules of survival on the road, and how I dont have to keep signalling anymore hahahah. But mann..I really cant help it. Been trained to signal every time I turn, so when I kept signalling even in the car park, my sisters were laughing like mad. But hey, thats being a safe driver alright. Hahahah and the stuff about parking coupons and erp and what not. I got out of the carpark twice already. Hahah my dad is like totally into being my driving instructor, and its really amusing seeing my mum and dad discussing about where they can bring me to practise my parking. Guess thats how it will feel like seeing your kid being able to drive huh. Probably one of the milestones in a parent's life besides seeing your kid walk, graduate, get married and have kids LOL.

QDL

Lol I was totally screaming for joy (not out loud of course) when I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!! Didnt roll down the slope. ^^ Omg I really cant believe it, because I was totally expecting to fail at my first test. Because my instructor always tells me how unsafe I am and all that. But oh well, it turned out that Im a safe driver after all. ^^ Thanks to my strict instructor who makes sure I drive perfectly safe on the roads. Ok except for the times when I speed (quite often at that too), but I cant help it because his new car is so damn cool and light, and the best thing I love about manual cars is changing up gears. REALLY FUN. I will miss driving manual cars from now on. Auto is damn sian..might as well ride a golf cart of smth. Really, the gear box gives me the feeling of a racer LOL. 1 to 2 to 3 to 4. Havent had a chance to go to gear 5 yet, although I hope to be able to do so someday, probably when I get to drive a manual car on the expressway or smth. Sighh. Hahah but mann, Im so happy I finally got my license! Practising over a long period of time is much more effective than piahhing because I have really gotten used to the road. And who cares if schools have better pass rates? I say my private instructor does an equally good job. :) Of course, the student's talent plays a part too. ^^ Stupid tester was such a grumpy man anyway. Complaining why I was driving so slow along a road; the first time I was ever told I drive slow, ie I got really really insulted. Hah but anyway, we are supposed to drive slow along such narrow roads to be safe! Stupid guy. And saying how I stop too close to the cars infront of me, which in turn distracted me and I forgot to change to gear 1 before moving off. Another 2 dps there. That was totally his fault can. Grr I really thought I was gonna fail or smth since his face was so black, but at the end, his final comment to me was "your driving is ok." Then I was like "huh, so did I pass?". And he said yes. Cmon man! Surely a smile or smth wasnt that difficult, especially since he got to sit on the nice leather seats in my instructor's car. Zzz.

Anyway, Im just damn happy larh. Really couldnt believe it because everyone was saying how people taking 1. manual car, 2. private lessons, and 3. test at ubi confirm cannot pass on the first round. Bullshit. I wonder who started all these rumours that made me so scared. Hahah I was telling my mum how I was glad I inherited more of my dad's genes over hers, and it was the first time ever that my dad said "well done" to me!! Compared to my mum's "dont be too happy" lol. Really, I know it may not seem much, but for my dad's character, its really rare for such a compliment. Happy happy. Cant wait to drive again, although our auto car is barely any fun compared to my instructor's car which is damn FAST and LIGHT btw! Love those kinda cars. And my mum was having a disdainful face when I said I was gonna paste that bright p-plate on the car hahahah. We would probably be pasting that for 3 years straight or smth if rayna and ranice get their license over the next two years too. Grr but my mum is only allowing me to drive around the carpark for the time being, since Im a "new" driver and "cant be trusted". Snorts. One day, I will just grab the car keys and zoom away hahahah. XD

Horton and Wolverine

Hahah I just watched horton and wolverine! My aunt lent us the dvds which she got from china. She lent us slumdog too, but that I watched already. Hahah quality is really good for pirated goods, but I had to figure out how to change the audio for horton. CAN YOU IMAGINE AN ELEPHANT SPEAKING IN CANTONESE. T.T Well at least I changed it to english in the end. -.- But horton is really not bad! Horton hears a who. ^^ I love dr seuss's stories! And the whos in whoville are so cute lol! That was ytd afternoon. :)

Now we just finished watching wolverine. Beginning was pretty sian, but after like the first half hour or so, the action started kicking in, and its really a good show, I would say! Henney was totally <3 as usual, but he died at 00:53. :( I actually rmbed his death time LOL. Ok not henney, but agent zero. I think pple would have been like "wth is wrong with this girl" if they saw my face because it was in utmost pain when henney's..OK agent zero's helicopter crashed. And I almost wanted to scream NOOOOO when wolverine blew up henney, no, agent zero!! Sobs!! T.T Sigh but bad guys all have to die. Sad sad. Shall rewatch some henney kdramas some time later on to ease my pain. Lol.

Hahahah but overall, the movie is pretty good! ^^ Save for some parts where the cg was left unedited (kudos to pirated goods), and we could see like the digital effects and the harnesses that hugh jackman was wearing. Oh well, I guess it was interesting in a way because uh..I dont have to watch any making or behind the scenes videos now hahahah. Ah but gambit was totally different from how I always thought him to be! Crap. Gambit is like one of my favs because he looks so cool in the comics. >.< Heh but at least prof x turned up in the end to save the day! Yeah mann. I would really be interested in a movie about prof x's origins. :))

Seafood

Hahah Im back to blogging! But not blogging about faith camp here because its kinda outdated already. Had lots of fun though. ^^ Anyway, I finally went to school to collect my A level certs today! Along with my entire family, so we ended up going to turf city for lunch, and went to check out the seafood at ocean restaurant or smth. Nigel always goes there to see his beloved live sea creatures everytime we go there. Oh and I almost forgot to mention how nigel was reading out ALL my grades in the car. -.- Hahah but yeah here are some pictures I took. Those are some huge seafood, but they look bigger in real life.

Lobsters and my favourite clams! Mann one clam could probably provide for my one week's worth of meals or smth. Literally! Just check out how much they are worth. I made it a point to take the price along with the picture lol. This price tag is per piece, the rest of the other seafood is per 100g so please dont think that the crabs are any cheaper.

Super super big crabs and that black mess is a pile of eels lol.

Another of my favourites - abalone!! I didnt know abalones could stick to glass like that. And each of them is about the size of my head. Hahah and the eel tank was kinda empty.

There were many other seafood at that place too, but I cant be bothered to take so many photos. Nigel was busy taking videos of fishes (how interesting -.-) with his superb (not!) photography skills.

Faith Camp 2009!

Whoo faith camp tomorrow!! Arent you excited, junice! (If you happen to be reading this after packing.) I shall not be so anti-social and make some new friends. Even though I still hope that there is at least someone I know in my group. T.T All ready to hype the camp yeah!~ I squuueezed all 4 days worth of camping stuff into my little haversack. Hahah expert camping techniques from a veteran camper huh. ^^ Dont miss me, everyone! Oh but I do hope there wont be any bedbugs in the bunks or smth, because I still have vivid memories of swarms, literally, SWARMS of bedbugs in my dorm during my p6 camp held in the same campsite, i.e. sembawang boys brigade campsite. >.< Please please. I hope the bugs all died after 7 years of global warming.

Anyway, ny homecoming last night was fun too! Junice turned 19! Like omg, so old! Muahah I should treasure my remaining months in sweet 18. And its been ages since our gluttons and bfc gathered (why are all the groups Im in related to food, I wonder?), so it was really heartwarming catching up with everyone, even with our guiders. Food sucked though. 90% of my food was in the shape of balls. Meatball, fish ball, sotong ball, you name it. Because I dont eat prawns, and the rest of the food at our table happened to be prawns. Talk about our prawning outing. But the pudding was nice! Even though they graciously gave each table only one plate. -.- Hahah but I still applaud the council for coming up with such an event. Ny foreva~ Would have been classic if mdm mak turned up too. :)

Wonder why some people know my name though. Like people I dont know actually know my name and cca. "omg, isnt that rachel goh?", followed by "she's from guides right?" coming from two tables when I was making my way aound the quad. Really surprising, but of course I had my cold, expressionless mask on as usual. Not as if Im some high profile person with a notorious character or scandal history. Oh and 109/ 209 got together too! Ok not the whole class, but some of us. Really nice to meet after such a looong time. Those days in sec 1 and sec 2 seem like eons ago, but Im glad to still have some remnants of friendship from those days lol. Miss everyone. Really, even though I appear cold on the surface, Im actually one who loves my friends loads. HAHA. :) Stupid shirlyn was laughing at my BoA activities on fb though. Which brings me to this - I realised only a few days ago that fb shows EVERYTHING I do on fb?! Photos and quiz results are fine, but I didnt know that even comments will be posted because I always go directly to my profile when I go on fb. Wthh thats such an invasion into my sensitive, private life. ARGH damned fb to the pits of google.

And to add fuel to the fire, I broke one of my watches AGAIN. This is seriously getting out of hand. Third time I actually cracked the face of my watch just by merely tapping on it. Ok I admit I wasnt really gentle, but I cant help it when the watches die on me. Hahah I wonder if this is a sign meant to reveal to me that I actually have some mutant abilities, i.e. a super strong finger or what. Whoo maybe I could master the yi yang finger (jin yong martial arts)! Never knew I had such a gift in me. Sigh anyway, thats like my uh 6th watch that met with misfortune over these 2 years or smth. A few cracked under my tapping, one dropped into the drain when I flung my wrist too hard, and another just died for no reason. Now Im left with all my white watches which I dont like wearing with white tops. Maybe I should get a pocket watch lol. Or a hardy stopwatch that is durable.

Ok so my next post will probably be about camp! Coming back on thursday. Goodbye, world! :)

Monsters vs Aliens

I finally went to the movies with nigel ytd. Just the two of us in our mini bonding outing. Like the WHOLE DAY. Omg I was so tired when I reached home. But hahah that movie is quite funny, like all the other cartoon movies that I (always seem to be the one) watched with nigel. Kungfu panda, the bee movie and 90% of all the other movies that I watched (which are all cartoon due to the consideration of nigel again). Love that bob, its damn stupid:

Then we went hanging around ps, looking at the robot dinosaurs, eating and going to the library at compass point. -.- Compass point was at the request of nigel. Dunno what he likes about that library there since he ended up borrowing books like "the properties of liquids" and "global warming" and "maths fun". OMG what kinda crazy books are those for a 7 year old!! Especially that maths one, which appeared to me like a sorta taboo book in my life now. I was like WHERE ARE YOUR STORYBOOKS?! when he showed me the books he chose. Look what school has done to our innocent minds.

Snores

Stupid flu took its toll on me the last 2 days. Now Im feeling so lethargic even though I have recovered already. That is after sleeping away the whole day. And I still feel like sleeping even though I have only been awake for like less than 2 hours or smth. Hah so this is what they call "eat and sleep". Hey but at least I still exercise and tan whenever I can. Grr but now my knee hurts so I probably wont be able to run or anything. This was what happened:

Time of accident: last night

Description:

1. XXX was blogging on the laptop.

Suddenly - *BoA's song playing on the tv in the living room*

2. XXX's natural reaction was O.O "OMGG!!".

3. XXX rushes out, and due to a slippery floor,

XXX fell from grace and went down on her hands and one knee. Splendid. That was such an embarrassing moment. AND my knee hurts so much now. To think the almighty me actually went down on my knees for BoA. Argh at least I recovered fast enough to catch the remaining of my BoA commerical on tv. The promotion for BEST&USA! Kudos to Avex. :)) Damn rayna was laughing her head off, while ranice was like "did she really fall down?" Thanks so much. The last time BoA went on tv, I skidded on the floor just to land right infront of the tv. Now I have a lump on my knee or a disfigured kneecap of sorts. Who knows I might just jump down a building the next time I see BoA around or not.

Right, but apart from last night's very unfortunate event, this week has been pretty fun. Eating durians at geylang was da best man. They have the best durians there, and its superb opening up the durians and eating them on the spot. Nigel also turned 7 on thursday. :)) With a gigantic tub of ice cream as one of his birthday presents. Talk about joining basketball. With his size, I doubt he can make it in any time soon.
